About your teacher

Image of Kim Hopkins sitting in the sunshine wearing a blue, sleeveless flowery dress at a table.

Hello, I am Kim

I have been practicing yoga for the last decade and teach local classes every week.

My training has been with world renowned Anusara, Ivenyar and Asthanga teachers and I have had 500+ hours.

In my normal day-to-day work, I teach yoga and pilates sessions. These are both in person and online. Either at a local village hall or in my own purpose-built yoga studio at home.

I came to yoga in my 50’s after discovering pilates in my 40’s. I have spent my life teaching in the exercise world which has moulded me into the teacher that I am now.

The yoga I teach is always tailored to the group and the people in it. I take into account your individual level of yoga, whether you have any injuries and am able to adjust sessions and poses to ensure you get the absolute most out of your practice.

Yoga is a real investment in yourself. There will always be something to challenge you, but most of all, there is so much you can do that will enhance your overall well-being as well as your fitness.

Kim is THE BEST yoga teacher I’ve ever had. She is so knowledgable about the body and really works to help you see what you can achieve. She is incredibly encouraging and supportive. Her classes are never dull, she is so good at mixing it up, will push you when you need pushing and support you when you need supporting. I love that she does lots of breath work and the mind-body connection too. So if you’re after a work out where you will definitely sweat, have a laugh and make some lovely friends, then her studio is worth a go!
Professional teacher giving full and varied Pilates and yoga instructions with the added bonus of a witty and amusing repartee, plus of course friendly clientele who always leave laughing! I can highly recommend attending these thoroughly beneficial and highly enjoyable classes.

I can’t thank Kim enough for all her expert teachings and continued support. She is a great teacher and adapts the class to suit everyone. All age groups and abilities are welcomed with open arms and her knowledge of the anatomy allows her to adapt any exercise to suit each individual. Whether you’ve done yoga for years, or have never even seen a yoga mat, it doesn’t matter. Classes are great fun and everyone goes away from the class feeling a little bit taller, a little more flexible and always with a smile on their face.
I highly recommend Kim’s yoga classes. I attended these when on holiday in Cornwall. I particularly liked the early morning class (8.00 am) as it really set me up for the day. I took up yoga during lockdown, online. Attending Kim’s class really gave me the opportunity to correct bad habits. Kim was so welcoming, supportive and gently guided me to correct my poses. Her existing students were really welcoming. I felt I made progress, but also left with a feeling of inner peace. I highly recommend Kim’s classes.
